    Today we visit the capital’s attractions: the National Museum with the Archaeological Museum, the Niavaran Cultural Complex with a former Shah Palace.
    In the evening we fly from Tehran to Shiraz and get our hotel.

    Persepolis, Naghsh-e Rostam, ...

    We undertake an excursion to the ancient Achaemenid royal city of Persepolis (World Cultural Heritage). Here 2,500 years ago the kings Cyrus, Xerxes and Darius had their palaces. Particularly impressive are the gates of all countries and the well-preserved reliefs. Nearby we can see the rock tombs of the kings in Naqsh-e-Rustam. Back in Shiraz we visit the Eram Garden and the mausoleum of the poet Hafiz.

    Ali ebne Hamze tomb, Pasargade...

    In the morning we see the Ali Ebne-e Hamze Mausoleum and then drive over the Persian high plateau, which is interrupted by mountain chains and fertile oases. On the route we visit the tomb of King Cyrus in Pasargadae. Another stop we make on the several thousand year old cypress in Abarkuh. The desert town of Yazd is one of the oldest cities in Persia. It was flourished during the time of Marco Polo in the 13th century.

    Friday mosque Yazd, The Zoroastrian Fire Temple yazd, ...

    We visit the historical old town (world cultural heritage), see the Fridays mosque and the Zoroastrian fire temple as well as the towers of silence. In the afternoon we go to Isfahan. Impressive are the historic bridges across the river.

    The inhabitants proudly say about their beautiful city “Isfahan – that is half the world”. The green oasis town offers magnificent mosques and palaces with numerous art treasures, turquoise domes, the magnificent Imam Square (world cultural heritage), Armenian churches and a colorful arts and crafts bazaar. After the visits, a traditional carpet workshop is visited.

    Eight Paradise palace

    In the morning more sightseeing like a paradise garden in the probably most beautiful Iranian city Isfahan. In the afternoon we travel back to the Iranian capital and the metropolis of Tehran. It is located at the foot of the Elbruz mountain range, about 5000 m high, at an altitude of about 1100 m. We retain the magic of Persia as a lasting impression of this unforgettable journey.
